Director of Education

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is seeking a dynamic, visionary leader to carry out the responsibilities of Director of Education and Secretary of the Board.

The Board is located in scenic Northwestern Ontario and serves approximately 6500 students in 28 schools. The system is supported by approximately 850 staff and a budget of $60 million.

The Director of Education is responsible for providing exceptional leadership through system-wide responsibilities in the areas of Educational Programming, Personnel, Communications, Partnerships, Management and Entrepreneurial activities. The Director will also act as a liaison with the Ministry of Education and other organizations as required.
The Board is seeking a leader who is comfortable with setting and achieving defined and measurable goals while dealing with complex educational and financial issues.

Candidates must possess Ontario Supervisory Officer qualifications as well as successful experience in a senior leadership role.
