Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The SFNCFSA is an active partner in the restructuring of the Child Welfare System in Manitoba. The Authority is one of the new structures under the Aboriginal Justice Inquiry - Child Welfare Initiative and the CFO will be a key player in the development of this new and innovative organization.

General Duties:
The general duties for this position will include all aspects of financial management and accounting systems and controls; and supervision of other accounting staff. You will help in the development, implementation and maintenance of the financial infrastructure, annual budgets and yearly audits. This will include working cooperatively with member agencies, various levels of government and other funding sources.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years accounting and finance experience and possess a recognized accounting designation. You must be a self starter with proven ability to work well within a team environment, have strong interpersonal skills and the desire to grow within a new and innovative organization. Your overall qualifications will include experience in all aspects of financial management including budgets, accounts receivable / payable, billings and financial report preparation. You will possess excellent communication and organizational skills and have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently. Experience in working within the First Nation Child and Family Services System would be an asset. You must complete a criminal record check and child abuse registry check. Some travel is required.

Salary: Commensurate with training and experience

Location: The position is located in Winnipeg
