As a government employee, for Northern and Aboriginal Affairs, I am kinda miffed that we don't have this holiday (June 21) off, like so many others. Doesn't a Jew get to have Hanukuh off, doesn't a Christian get Christmas and Easter holidays, why not us. All my friends and relatives are talking about going out enjoying the day at the various celebrations, while I will be slaving at my desk. How unfair. Isn't the govt supposed to recognize this a a holiday for those Aboriginal employees who deserve it. What do you think?
