Ovide is the ultimate in deception. A political con-man with an unbridled lust for power. A man who would willingly take an act of kindness and give hatred and deceit in return.
Eve, let me ask you this, why do you have so much reverence for a Bill C-31 Indian who has never experienced the full impact of colonialism like the Indian peoples that he once represented? A man who has never been a grassroots leader? Are we as treaty Indians supposed to trust his judgements? Furthermore, what political legitimacy does Ovide have to comment?

:
: I like that title! Son of Irwin, by Ovide Mercredi.
: First of all, I am quite glad to finally hear of what will be going on behind closed doors once again. Megwetch Ovide!
: I have been searching the net and all the First Nations news, trying to find what is actually going to be discussed regarding the amendments of the Indian Act. Megwetch Ovide!
: So, you were given the papers on the ponts of discussion and you have let us know. Meegwetch Ovide!
: What do you think should happen at the grassroots level? I say that perhaps the First Nations should hold a referendum regarding as to whether we agree to the purposed changes! I understand that the feds will be bringing the purposed changes to the Chiefs.
: I believe that what the feds really intend is to just hold another bunch of travelling information sessions across the provinces! So, Ovide, if you are reading the responses to your editorial, could you please forward this Anishnawbeg a copy of the points of discussion. Megwtch Ovide.
: I had the opportune to meet with you back in 97' at the AFN elections in Vancouver. I was the Anishnawbeg who greeted you! I was also the one who stopped you on the golf course on the fundraising tee! I was the one who finally got the hang of volunteering, because I wanted so much to be a part of the First Nations for the four days in 97'
: Megwetch Ovide for your kindness and understanding that day on the golf course in British Columbia. Your calm and serene ways are felt by many!
