applications for the contract (35 hours/week) position of
Ojibway Language Instructor
Lloyd S. King Elementary School
Job Summary
The Ojibway Language Instructor will deliver the Native Language Program from
Kindergarten through Grade 8. He/She will assist with coordinating and instructing
drumming and singing groups, and coordinating the Family Nights and annual School
Pow Wow. (flexible scheduling may be required)
Mandatory Qualifications:
· Grade 12 or equivalent with fluent knowledge of the Ojibway language
· Ability to instruct drumming and singing and to work in a traditional
crafts program is an asset.
Additional Qualifications:
· Experience in a Native Community is an asset
· Must be willing to undergo a police reference check
· CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
Term: Contract to commence a.s.a.p. and ending June 25, 2003
Salary: Commensurate with experience
