This is a very interesting issue for sure. One thing that always occurred to me is that the pitfall is that Grassroots People might tend to vote regionally. Because they would vote for someone who is familiar to them. Since you would need to travel to get "known" that introduces the possibility of lumber companies and the like of running candidates. Aside from big money like that, who really has the resources to visit Grassroots People across this country? No-one, that's who. I suppose we could start fundraising like mainstream political groups, but then again it just ends up being businessmen running candidates. Would that really be an improvement. The alternative is having a National Chief that is always from Ontario. Or am I being cynical?
