Poplar River is locally controlled with an enrollment of 233 students from Nursery
to Senior 1. There are well furnished rental accommodations available. Benefits
and Northern Allowance available.
The community is located on the southeast of Lake Winnipeg. It is accessible
by air (2 flights daily by 2 airlines, except Sat. & 1 flight each on Sundays)
to Winnipeg and Pine Dock. Barge service available at summer, winter road access
during winter (Dec. - Mar.).
Candidates must possess a valid Manitoba Teacher's Certificate and a minimum
of Bachelor of Education Degree. Teaching experience in a First Nation School
a definite asset. Salary based on certification/Level.
