Ojibway Language Instructor
Lloyd S. King Elementary School

Job Summary

The Ojibway Language Instructor will deliver the native language Program from Kindergarden through Grade 8. He/She will assist with coordinating and instructing drumming and singing groups, and coordinating the Family Nights and annual school Pow Wow. (flexible scheduling may be required).

Mandatory Qualifications

Grade 12 or equivalent with fluent knowledge of the Ojibway Language

Additional Qualifications

Experience in a Native Community is an asset
Must provide a police reference check
CPR/First Aid Certification is an asset
Ability to instruct drumming and singing and to work in a traditional crafts program is an asset

Term Position to commence August 25, 2003

Salary Commensurate with Salary Grid and Experience
