So what is some peoples views on the incident that happened with Jim Wastastecoot, owner of this paper(First Perspective/Drum), and the very controversial Chief Louie Stevenson (Peguis First Nation)? I think this act is very unprofessional of Jim to do this, if in fact he did as he is innocent until proven guilty of course. In case some of you are not aware, Jim and Chief Stevenson have been invloved in a long fued, as Jim is as Peguis band member and is involved with a large portion of Peguis band members who oppose Chief Stevenson's dealing's with band affairs, among such things as being accountable to his people. But should the people really take it to this step? I think Jim was out of line, but Jim has choosen other means of trying to get the word out, through of course the media, but I guess it finally got him to a certain point where he reacted as he did. To get people to react in this way, wouldn't this also be partly Chief Stevenson's own fault?
