So what does Bill C-31 have to do with this topic? Let us not pick and choose who to admire based on First Nations ancestry. Let us leave that to the feds, for now.
That really touches another issue, doen't it?
What about the non-native women who hold Indian Status cards just cause they married a First Nations Status Indian. They exist today with their cards and they are not of native ancestry, some of whom have remarried outside the First Nations culture and those children now hold indian Status cards.
Ovide is of native ancestry! No doublt about it!
To get back to the topic of discussion, let me say this, I once volunteered in a political party, in order to obtain first hand information on First Nations issues. That does not make me an Indian sitting in a white camp! They knew why I was volunteering, cause I told them so. Any information that I received, and it was plentiful, I turned over to those who would benefit most from it. Do you have any idea who those might have beem?
In closing, I would like to say, the opinions expressed in my postings are my own, and in no way are intended to be offensive. However, I would also wish to add, how one interprets them is in their own opinion and I respect that.
