Course Writer

The University of Victoria School of Nursing is inviting applications for the position of course writer of an Aboriginal Health course to be delivered by distance education to human service professionals working with Aboriginal peoples.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Registered Nurse with a BSN and a graduate degree
  • Demonstrated writing skills
  • Ability to make a commitment over time (October 2003 to December 2004)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with and among Aboriginal peoples
  • Knowledge of content related to Aboriginal ways of knowing, First Nations historical perspectives, current socio/political issues, and aboriginal health analysis

$12,000 is available for this contract.
Applicants are welcome to apply as a team of 2 to 3 writers.
