I would suggest that the afore mentioned reporter investigate his stories prior to going to press.

Case in point:
Coon Come championed the new institute as an opportunity to truly empower first
nations, rather than merely tinkering with the Indian Act.

Coon Come had absolutely nothing to do with the establishment of the institute. But having Mr. Lemol report that he "championed" the establishment of the institute misleads the readers of the story and is patently untrue. Who established the institute? Who secured the agreement with INAC to fund the institute?

Report the story, not distort the story.
