Biko Agozino
Biko has completed a Ph.D dissertation on "Black Women and the Criminal Justice System" in the Faculty of Law at the University of Edinburgh. He obtained a B.Sc. honours in Sociology from the University of Calabar and an M.Phil in Criminology from the University of Cambridge. socbagozino@uk.ac.livjm

Surekha and Prasad Akella
Surekha and Prasad are in Japan on a two year sojourn from their home in the US. Surekha is a Pharmacologist between a Master's and a Ph.D.; she is masquerading as an English teacher in Japan. Prasad is a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford and is working on the control of robots at MITI's National Mechanical Engineering Laboratory. Their common interests include people, photography and international travel. For the next few months, they will report on life in Japan, as viewed through the eyes of Indian-Americans. prasad@mel.go.jp

Kent is a Vancouver artist with over twenty years experience in photography. His work has been exhibited in galleries across Canada from Vancouver to St. John's, Newfoundland. Originally born in England, Paul moved to Vancouver at age 9 and quickly realized his parents had made the right choice. Martin Charette
Martin did one year at the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) and decided to start its own business: Qad Software. He felt that the school was not giving him what he wanted and needed. He will go back when he is going to be ready but for now on is working for himself. mcharet@magi.com

Richard Cumyn
Richard Cumyn is the author of The Limit of Delta Y Over Delta X (Goose Lane Editions, 1994) a collection of short stories that includes "Anyone for Anything." His fiction has appeared in many Canadian and American publications, most recently The Journey Prize Anthology VI (McClelland and Stewart), The Grand-Slam Book of Canadian Baseball Writing (Pottersfield Press), The New Quarterly, NeWest Review, Zygote, The Blue Penny Review, and InterText. He writes from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Tom Davis

Prasad is a Solid State Electrical Engineer turned into a C++ programmer who works at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC. He has been known to take decent photographs when the phase of the moon is right. Though he was born in Sri Lanka, he cannot play Cricket. Originally from the San Francisco area, Ken Eisner is a Contributing Editor to Vancouver's entertainment weekly, the Georgia Straight, and Canadian correspondent/film critic for Variety, in Los Angeles. Sheila Eldred
Currently studying English at Oxford University, Sheila will return to the U.S. in July to continue her undergraduate education at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN.
