II. The Delirium of Uselessness

It is probably common knowledge that this project

 

was to bring untold wealth and prosperity to the region.

 

Words hazy and inflated through centuries of exaggerated feeling,

 

based primarily on the oil and gas industry,

 

a climate of drunkenness, brutality and degradation.

 

 

He sits up nights brooding everything that is the case,

 

the idiocy of rural life,

 

all about animals as persons,

 

words which make coffins break loose and walk off;

 

 

 

searching for a christ who smiles,

 

happy teaching without pupils

 

able to enjoy shopping malls.

 

 

 

After all, he doesn't just belong to the Christians anymore

 

 

 

Says he to whom no-one is listening
