before microsoft

acetylene balloon detonates in the neighbour's yard
still in my head
my childhood
ets breaking the sound barrier
my father's gun
makes me stop thinking.
I run into the woods
or imagine peace.

there was anger before microsoft.
seattle was a needle in space
the tall statue of stalin
surrounded by stratus.

how many must die
wondering if there is such a thing
as science?

i was a fascist
killing the tortoise and the hare
with my fingers.
i was no atheist
hugging little red riding hood
when grandmother died.
but for my belief
i would be alive
until the end of the story.
