The Conference Program

Presentations held throughout the three-day conference will cover various topics which focus on the corporate strategy of having a portion of a firmÕs employee base work from their homes, from a satellite or branch office, or from a virtual/mobile office. Select sessions will also address the needs of the home office entrepreneur.

The common thread of these workers is that they either work alone or with no more than a few co-workers in a site that is removed from a corporate headquarters or facility populated by hundreds of employees. A majority of these remote workers are ÒknowledgeÓ workers, many of whom are computer programmers, engineers, writers, researchers, consultants, field sales force members, and professional service personnel.

The first conference day, October 15, will consist of: Technical Workshops; Small Office/Home Office Seminars for Entrepreneurs, Independent Contractors, and Freelancers; and Vendor Seminars.

The second and third conference days, October 16 & 17, will feature sessions, comprised of 1-3 speakers in panel or presentation formats, depending on the subject matter. Each of these days will be kicked off by a Keynote speaker. The Preliminary concurrent conference tracks will focus on the following:

I. Technology
