Did you know...

...that the National Library of Canada presented a half-day workshop in the Halifax area on November 14 and 15, 2002 on basic disaster response and preparedness for printed materials. The session encompassed appropriate disaster supplies, characteristics of good response teams and a practical session for salvaging and recovering wet material.

The workshop was sponsored by the Atlantic Provinces Library Association (APLA) and organized by Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Maritimes Region, with the assistance of the Nova Scotia Provincial Library.
