Diabetes Prevention and Promotion Contribution Program

The Diabetes Prevention and Promotion Contribution Program (PPCP) provides funding to community organizations that are actively involved in work that contributes to preventing type 2 diabetes. The program, part of the Canadian Diabetes Strategy, began in April 2000. Non-profit, voluntary community organizations and educational institutions are eligible to apply for this funding.

The Diabetes Prevention and Promotion Contribution Program is administered in Atlantic Canada by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) Atlantic as part of the Population Health Fund. Atlantic Region priorities for the contribution program were determined through provincial consultations with stakeholders in diabetes prevention.

  1. Atlantic Priorities - Target Populations and Settings
  2. Atlantic Priorities - Strategies and Interventions
