Surge, Sort, Support: Disaster Behavioural Health Online Training

Background

The Surge, Sort, Support course was developed by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Centre for Emergency Preparedness (CEPR) in collaboration with the Disaster Epidemiology Emergency Preparedness Centre (DEEP) at the University of Miami School of Medicine

Working in close consultation with a nationwide group of Canadian subject matter experts, this United States-based course was adapted into a Canadian context.

Recommended for health care professionals and Canadian hospital staff.

Course Objective

Accomplish the goal of helping all parties understand and embrace the role of behavioural health during natural and human-caused emergencies and disasters.
