Canadian Child Care Federation New Window
Founded in 1987, the Canadian Child Care Federation (CCCF) is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of child care services for children and families in Canada. CCCF includes 19 regional affiliate organizations, independent members and other partner national organizations. Canadian Institute of Child Health New Window
For more than 25 years, the Canadian Institute of Child Health has acted as a dedicated voice for children and youth, improving their health and well-being. CICH works to ensure that this goal is met through their many publications and resources for parents and health professionals.
Canadian Centre for Child Protection New Window
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is a charitable organization dedicated to the personal safety of all children. Our goal is to reduce child victimization by providing programs and services to Canadians. We do this through public awareness activities, our personal safety education program (Kids in the Know) and our national tipline to report online sexual abuse of children (Cybertip.ca).
Cybertip New Window
Cybertip.ca is Canada's national tipline for reporting the online sexual exploitation of children. The tipline is owned and operated by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, a charitable organization dedicated to the personal safety of all children.
Cybertip.ca accepts and addresses online and telephone reports from the public regarding:

  • Child Pornography (images of child abuse)
  • Online luring
  • Child exploitation through prostitution
  • Travelling to sexually exploit children

On average, Cybertip.ca receives over 700 reports and 800,000 hits to its website per month. All reports that are in contravention of the Criminal Code (Canada) are sent to police for possible investigation. As of January 2008, reports to the tipline had resulted in 43 arrests and the removal of 2,850 websites from the Internet.
Defence of Children International New Window
Defence for Children international (DCI) is an independent non-governmental organisation set up during the International Year of the Child (1979) to ensure on-going, practical, systematic and concerted international action specially directed towards promoting and protecting the rights of the child. This site provides information on almost 12,000 individually indexed items, including articles, studies and reports from journals and serial publications, monographs, magazines, organizational newsletters, newspaper clippings, official documents (UN system and individual governments) and books.

Save the Children Canada is the leading child-rights organization, working for over 80 years to improve the quality of children's lives through the realization of their rights. Save the Children is a non-political, non-religious organization that provides both emergency relief and long-term development assistance through partnership with local communities, government bodies and international organizations. Save the Children Canada is a member of the International Save the Children Alliance. With Member organizations in 30 countries and operating programs in over 100 countries, the Alliance is the world's largest global movement for children.
