Introductory Statement
This document, Construction-related Nosocomial Infections in Patients
in Health Care Facilities: Decreasing the Risk of Aspergillus, Legionella
and Other Infections, has been developed under the direction of the
Health Canada Infection Control Guidelines Steering Committee. It is intended
to aid health care professionals to improve the quality of health care.
The information in this document is designed to assist in developing policies,
procedures and evaluative mechanisms to ensure an optimal level of care.
The information in this document was current at the time of publication.
It should be emphasized that areas of knowledge and aspects of technology
advance with time.
