Report HerpesAs herpes simplex virus (HSV) is not nationally notifiable, prevalence rates in Canada cannot be determined. However, laboratory specimen testing can provide information on the proportional distribution of the different serotypes of HSV, which have remained relatively stable since 1990 (Table 3).
