Given the heightened surveillance systems in many countries, it is expected
that a number of cases in travellers will be reported. Health Canada
will continue to verify such reports with the World
Health Organization

Health Canada has taken action in the following areas to strengthen its
capacity to respond to future infectious disease outbreaks, including
