Blood Operators in Canada perform a supplementary WN virus-specific NAT following any positive donor test result. ⁵ All related to travel outside the province/ territory. ⁶ In 2002-2004, WNV Non-Neurological Syndrome was called West Nile Fever (WNF). In 2002, WNV Neurological Syndrome was called WNV encephalitis including aseptic meningitis and encephalitis.
