The CO-OP Internship Program for Paralegal Technology at the Quebec Regional Office

The purpose of the co-op program is to recruit interns who are completing their college diploma in paralegal studies.

Paid internship offers for the winter session are usually posted in the fall in educational institutions that offer paralegal studies programs and that have completed the Public Service Commission approval procedure for their program of study. Internship applicants will first have to undergo second-language evaluation tests as well as skills evaluations: written comprehension, oral proficiency, and written expression. Selected applicants will be offered 15-week internships and will be matched with supervisors. Supervisors will be responsible for welcoming interns, providing guidance, and conducting evaluations.

Before the end of the internship period, interns will have the chance to submit their applications as part of a selection process to create a pool of qualified candidates for paralegal positions. They may then be offered temporary or permanent employment after they obtain their diploma.

The Department of Justice’s Quebec Regional Office operates in an environment of linguistic and legal duality and offers competitive wages and desirable working conditions.

The Department of Justice is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from students who are members of the following designated groups: Aboriginal peoples, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities.

We proudly invite you to join our team as a paralegal technology intern. Contact your placement service or the person responsible for internships within your program of study.
