Essential Qualifications

  • Admissibility to article in accordance with the École du Barreau du Québec at the latest on December 31st, 2015. (The articles aimed by this recruitment will take place in 2015. However, it is possible that they may start before, due to operational needs, and if the students are available.)
  • Bachelor in Law, obtained at the latest on December 31st, 2015.
  • Good cumulative grade point average in courses pursued for law degree and an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
    * The screening of the candidates selected for an interview will be based on this criterion. Please clearly indicate in your resume all work experience (paid or volunteer), training, and studies that you have.
  • Capacity to analyze legal principles and/or legal problems from a variety of perspectives.
  • Capacity to conduct legal research.
  • Ability to communicate orally.
  • Ability to communicate in writing.
  • Ability to work in a team: Works in collaboration with various partners. Contributes to the collective effort to achieve established objectives.
  • Interpersonal relationships: Ability to establish and maintain constructive work relations based on mutual respect and listening in a manner that helps to advance the work of the organization.
  • Commitment and ethics: Adhere to the values and goals of the organization and to act in the public interest.
  • Judgment: Draw logical conclusions from facts presented or observed in a given situation.

Asset qualification

For the positions with the Tax Law Directorate : Recipient of a diploma related to tax.

Condition(s) of Employment

Security clearance: Reliability Status or secret, depending on the position.

The candidate must be registered to article in accordance with the École du Barreau du Québec at the latest on December 31st, 2015, during the articling appointment.

Operational Requirements

  • Candidates must be flexible with respect to hours of work.
  • Candidates will be required to travel occasionally.
