Voici l'espace que j'habite: Exhibit of Hector de Saint-Denys Garneau ManuscriptsLibrary and Archives Canada invites you to view a selection of the manuscripts of Hector de Saint-Denys Garneau, to discover the sometimes-obscured aspects of the poet's character and work. First presented in Trois-Rivières in October 2003 to mark the 60th anniversary of the poet's death, this travelling exhibition offers a new perspective on the work and life of de Saint-Denys Garneau. May 6-September 19, 2006 The Peter Winkworth Collection of CanadianaIn March 2002, Library and Archives Canada acquired more than 4,000 works of art from one private collector, Mr. Peter Winkworth (1929-2005). The Peter Winkworth Collection of Canadiana exhibitions will be unveiled to Canadians as a series of regional presentations, with works from the Atlantic provinces; Quebec; Ontario; the Prairies, the Northwest Territories and the North; and the Pacific Coast and the Yukon. Each exhibition focuses on developments in Canadian history as they relate to conflict and commerce, the geography of the land and the nature of its inhabitants, and the evolution of Canadian society. Enjoy these selections for their informative value, their aesthetic appeal, their quality of execution, and more--for their unique perspective on Canada's past. A virtual exhibition of part of the Peter Winkworth Collection is also available for viewing online at www.collectionscanada.ca/art/050602_e.html. The Peter Winkworth Collection of Canadiana |
