"Launch Your Future with Reading!" Contests
The "Launch Your Future with Reading!" contests are open to Canadian children, ages 9 to 14. Participants have until October 15 to enter the question-and-answer contest or the essay contest, which draws on their creativity to write an essay about a magical book that transports them onto Steve MacLean's space shuttle. The Canadian Library Association and the Canadian Space Agency websites will post information about the event announcing the contest winners later this fall. In addition, a space e-library is scheduled to be launched in October as part of Canadian Library Month.
