Volume 2, Number 7, November-December 2006 ![]() In FocusThe Library and Archives Canada Management BoardDoug RimmerDoug Rimmer was appointed Assistant Deputy Minister of the Programs and Services Sector at Library and Archives Canada on December 20, 2004. Before joining LAC, he served since September 2002 as Assistant Deputy Minister with Communications, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada. Previously, he was Vice President for Policy, Research and Communications with the Public Service Commission of Canada. Mr. Rimmer also served at the Public Service Commission as Director General, Recourse and Review, and as Director General, Information Management and Review. He also held directorial positions with the Canadian Transportation Agency, an administrative tribunal responsible for making economic decisions involving federally regulated modes of transportation. Mr. Rimmer holds arts degrees from the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto. |
