Sylvain Bélanger

Sylvain Bélanger is Executive Assistant to the Librarian and Archivist of Canada.

He has also served in the Canadian Forces, and held a number of positions in the public sector including Manager, Business Services at the Canadian Emergency Preparedness College; and as special advisor, to the Associate Deputy Minister, Department of National Defence, on policies and operational planning for government emergency management and critical infrastructure protection. In addition, he held the position of policy advisor in emergency management policy with the Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Emergency Preparedness, and researcher for Senator Joan Fraser.

Mr. Bélanger holds degrees in Political Science and Economics, and a master's degree in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.
