that a selection of Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR) rule interpretations, clarifications and decisions from the National Library of Canada’s internal Descriptive Cataloguing Manual is now available on the National Library of Canada Web service at:
that the National Library of Canada is issuing these rule interpretations used in cataloguing for Canadiana, the national bibliography, for the information of libraries using catalogue records produced by the National Library or following National Library cataloguing practice in their own institutions.
that an additional National Library rule interpretations as well as revisions to existing ones will be added to this site and will be indicated as such in the contents list of each chapter of rule interpretations.
