Advocacy
The arts play an important role in in the vitality of our cities by uniting diverse communities and fostering social well-being. For these reasons and more, the CCA often engages the federal government, and, on occasion, provincial governments, to represent its members views on important policy issues and to push for sustained support for the arts, culture and heritage sector.
The CCA participates regularly in consultations and meets with federal officials in the Ottawa area on behalf of its membership. It is equally important that the CCA’s members and the public-at-large have the resources to advocate for the arts in their respective communities. To that end, the following resources and links may be useful.
