Comment on CCA : Call for interest by Graham Kelsey
Thank you, Kathleen, for keeping us informed of the sad but business like decisions the Board has taken. I remain committed to offering such assistance as a mere individual member can for some kind of resurrection.

Comment on CCA : Call for interest by Charlotte Wilson-Hammond
Sad news indeed! Having been a member of the CCA for years, since the '80's, and having served on the Board and the Executive I feel I have to agree that Canada needs an all inclusive arts organization that can reflect the concerns and needs of the Cultural Sector to the Government. And it has to be an arms' length advocacy organization. Sadly, the 'Harper' government does not agree and this is just another move to wipe out what is perceived as opposition to mono-minded 'government' policy. Let's hope at the next election that Canada does not forget the slow erosion of independent and creative thinking!

A petition needs to be started to show support for the CCA and against this other narrow minded approach of the Harper governement against anything that shows interest outside their own. Lili de Grandpré

When I stepped down from the Board of Directors of the CCA (a rather long time ago), I was honoured with a lifetime membership in the CCA. In my heart, I will always be a member of the CCA.

The closure of Canadian Conference of the Arts is MAJOR loss for arts advocacy in this country. The staff and Board of Trustees of the Kamloops Art Gallery salute your diligence in trying to keep the doors open to this vital organization. Jann LM Bailey Executive Director Kamloops Art Gallery
