What a pity. The Canadian cultural sector does need a unifying voice, or at least a mobilizing voice in Ottawa. The work of the staff and the Board on behalf of Canadian arts policy is not to be overlooked. This is yet another subtle yet significant change for Canada - how we value ourselves and what we choose to present to the world. My best wishes to you, the board, Alain and the staff.

This is indeed a sad day for the cultural sector in Canada. Many thanks to the staff at the CCA for their heroic efforts to keep the organization afloat. In view of the many challenges faced by the arts, heritage and cultural industries in this country the need for an umbrella group such as the CCA to serve the sector has not diminished. May you rise again!

How very sad. Organizations and artists across the country have come to depend on the analysis and insights the CCA offered from far away Ottawa. The country will be more fractured without this string of wisdom.

This is a shame. The CCA needs more than 6 months to transition to a new model. A great disappointment given the contribution of this organization to the arts in Canada.
