The Weymouth Bridge is a newspaper
printed monthly in Weymouth, Nova Scotia.
Established September 1999.

In November 1887 Valentine A. Landry, assisted by A.A. Cullen, published L'Evangeline in Digby for the Acadian populace of Digby County.

The Weymouth Times began publication in Weymouth in 1888. The publisher was Eugene J. Hainer but, after a few issues, he sold his plant to Nathaniel E. Butler. It was only a short period of time before L'Evangeline purchased the establishment.

L'Evangeline ceased publication in Digby and the editor-proprietor changed the name of the journal to the Weymouth Free Press amalgamating The Weymouth Times and L'Evangeline.

The Weymouth Free Press continued publication until 1904, serving both English and French speaking inhabitants of Digby County.

A split in the staff of The Weymouth Press resulted in publication of The Sissiboo Echo and L'Acadie in 1900, but this venture was discontinued in 1901. The Sissiboo Echo was edited by Mr. Tom Farnham, the son of Charles E. Farnham, the former editor of The Digby Courier.

John T. McBride established The Telegraph in Digby but it had a short run. He then promoted The Record in Weymouth, where it was published in 1908 and 1909, after which it was moved to Annapolis Royal.

In 1906 J.J. Wallis established The Weymouth Gazette but it was discontinued in 1909. The Weymouth Gazette was revived in 1931 as part of The Digby Courier and Miss Kathleen Fitzgerald did the editing in Weymouth. This new form of The Weymouth Gazette continued until 1934.
