Chalcopyrite

Chalcopyrite is a reasonably soft rock. Its colour is brassy to bronze yellow, and it tarnishes easily. It is found as a greenish black streak in the rock, but can be distunguished from pyite by its softness, and from gold by its brittleness. It is a common ore mineral of copper. Chalcopyrite is most frequently found in veins.
