Quartz is a hard, most commonly a white smokey rock which can also apear rose, blue, yellow or purple. It is a very common rock forming mineralfound in many igneous and metomorphic rocks. It forms the major inerals found in many sands, sandstones, and quartzites, and is very common in veins.
