The village of Iron Bridge, located in Gladstone township, was once known as "Tally-Ho" because that was where the lumberjacks would 'tally up' their wages every spring. The community was officially established in the late 1860's, but was not renamed Iron Bridge until after the iron bridge crossing the Mississagi River was completed in 1886. Iron Bridge is about 20 kilometres south of the community of Kynoch. |
