frog, because they are common on land and water. Unfortunately they are now an endangered species. When in the water they are usually stretched out, floating, with their eyes just breaking surface. Their call is almost a snoring or chuckling sound, that last for one to three seconds. Their skin is a bright green or light brown, with irregularly shaped black spots, with a white underside. If you are lucky enough to see one, they can be found in creeks, swamps, lakes, marshes, and moist meadows near water.
