Bob Dixon
Robert Dixon was born in Olds, Alberta in 1917, and went to work for General Steel Wares in Ontario in 1936 for 60 dollars a month. He joined the RCA militia in early 1940, and was mobilized in May 1941. He served with distinction through Italy, including the battles of Ortona and Monte Cassino, and then finished his war in NW Europe. He returned to work for the same company after the war, but eventually became a real estate broker in Mississauga, where he worked the rest of his career. Ironically, he ended up with a German partner and five Italian salespeople. He lives with his wife in Napanee, Ontario.
