Don
Horne
Don
Horne was born in Port Colborne, Ontario, and enlisted shortly after
leaving high school to join INCO . Like so many Canadians, he wanted to do
his part - but he never got any further than England. In other words, one

served their country well, but as a non-combatant. Don was in the service
until the end of the war, and then returned to Canada and his job at INCO,
where he spent the remainder of his career. He was always very involved in
his community, which he served as dutifully as he served Canada. Don died
in 2002.
Toronto where he became an urban planner. He lives in Don Mills with his wife.
