Family Crest
This is the crest of Phillippe Mius d'Entremont
and not of the entire family.
Filhipe Mieux squire Master de Lendremont (or Philippe Mius D'Entremont) left La Rochelle in 1651, as major general to the new governor Charles de Latour. The latter granted him the Seigneurie of Pobomcoup (today known as Pubnico) in the extreme southwestern portion of Nova Scotia.

Several d'Entremonts seem to have been deported to France where they settled at Cherbourg. Here it must be mentioned that Pubnico was for all practical purposes the only area in Nova Scotia where there were Acadians before, during and after the Deportation. The D'Entremonts are still prominent in the Pubnico region today.
