Family Crest According to Geneviève Massignon, at least 509 families could be traced to Jehan Terriau in the early 1960s. In the 1671 Port Royal census he is given the age 70. The Terriau's were linked by marriage to the Dupuis before leaving France.

Marguerite Terriot, wife of Armand Granger of Rivière-aux-Canards, was exiled to Belle-Île-en-Mer in 1765 where she died in 1807.
