Petitions

The Metis people sent out numerous petitions in hopes to get land claims. Petitions were sent out though the years of 1873 and 1884 by:

St. Laurent: 1873-78, Lake Qu'Appelle: 1873-74, Blackfoot crossing-1877, Prince Albert: 1878-81, Cypress mountain: 1878, St. Albert: 1878, Manitoba Village, N.W.T.: -1880, Edmonton: 1880, Battleford: 1881, Qu'Appelle Valley: 1882, Batoche: 1882, St. Louis: 1883

Many of these petitions were never replied to and were ignored by the Canadian government.
