Axe NÉO-7 est un centre d'artistes géré par des artistes, voué à la production et la diffusion de pratiques artistiques actuelles régionales et nationales. Le site des archives d'Axe NÉO-7 veut donner un aperçu des activités du centre depuis sa création en 1983. Chaque page ouvre sur un artiste ou un groupe ayant habité les lieux du centre le temps d'une exposition ou d'un événement. Ces lieux se sont transformés avec le temps, bousculant les murs et les cloisons pour parfois même s'en échapper et s'éparpiller dans la ville. À travers l'index chronologique et alphabétique, il revient à chacun de trouver son parcours et sa combinaison dans les coffres d'Axe NÉO-7. |
Welcome to the Axe NÉO-7 on-line archives.
Axe NÉO-7 is an artist-run centre managed by professional artists. Its mandate is to support the production and dissemination of contemporary visual arts regionally, nationally and internationally.The on-line archives will give you an overview of the centre's activities since its foundation in 1983. Each page opens on to an artist or a group of artists that has been involved with the centre for an exhibition or a special event. Over the years, artists have transformed the space, tearing down walls and erecting new ones, and have sometimes even allowed their works to escape into other city spaces. Visitors are encouraged to use both the alphabetical and chronological indexes to create their own search paths into Axe NÉO-7's archival vault. |
