The Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature is the Province's largest heritage centre,
unique in North America in its combined human and natural themes. The museum houses
seven interpretive galleries that depict the Province in its enviromental zones, from north to
south, from past to present. Research and interpretation are based on the institution's extensive
collections which include more than 1,800,000 humanities artifacts, the recently acquired Hudson's Bay
Company Museum Collection, and over 120,000 natural history specimens.
The museum complex includes a Planetarium and Science Centre and serves more than 500,000
visitors annually. The Museum is a Michelin Guide three-star attraction.
