Sherbrooke Village is a restored historic village located on Nova Scotia's Scenic Eastern shore.
Twenty five of thirty two buildings sit on their original foundations. The Restoration
is a living, productive museum which has a weaving studio, a potter, a blacksmith, a woodturner,
a printery and an ambrotype photo studio (photography on glass). Approximately 50 historically
accurate costumed interpreters are on site to guide visitors through a walking tour with domestic
skills demonstrations such as soap and candle making, rug hooking, flax processing and hand cream
production. The Restoration also has a water power up and down saw mill on site. In 1997, a vintage
gold stamping mill will be operating for visitors. The Village depicts a time period spanning the 1860's
to pre WWI and is a lively interactive depiction of days gone by which appeals to all ages. Approx.
Tour time: 2-3 hours. Located on the No.7 Highway, 2 and a half hours east from Halifax. After your visit,
restaurant facilities and .gift/Craft Shop are availiable on site.
