"Kings Landing is an outdoor museum dedicated to the study and interpretation of daily life along
the St. John River Valley from the 1780's to the turn of the twentieth century. The Kings Landing Collection
consists of approximately one hundred buildings, over 45,000 artifacts comprising furniture, decorative arts and
pre-industrial technology, the natural and cultural landscape of the Settlement itself, and, the historical reproductions
of costumes, textiles, furniture and furnishings that contribute to the enhancement of visitor involvement in site programming."
