BOFA is an important part of life at Canterbury High School. The school's improvisational team has won six Gold National Championship titles and two Silver titles in the past eight years. The original two teams, Casa and Nova were blended together in 1989 when the Ottawa-Carleton High School Improvisational Olympics became the Canadian Improv Games and the new rule of one team per school came into effect. The name BOFA is an off color acronym; Bunch of F****** Artsies, that was originally meant as an insult from other students, but was adopted by the team as a badge of honor.

This gallery is meant to give some insight into the hard work and dedication of the members of the team and to demonstrate the pride that is felt by the students of Canterbury High School for the team.

The following oath is recited at the beginning of each round of the Canadian Improv Games, from regional to National playoffs. The audience, team members and officials rise to recite the oath with rousing enthusiasm.

In the spirit of loving competition
to celebrate the Canadian Improv Games

We will uphold the ideals of improvisation
Co-operate with one another
Learn from each other

And, above all,
Have a good time!
