      This was the inaugural opening of the first radio station in Canada.

      1927
      The first regularly-scheduled network service in Canada. It linked Canadian National (CN) stations in Montreal and Ottawa.

      July 1: Special coast-to-coast broadcast on the Diamond Jubilee of Confederation. Originated from the CN stations in Ottawa, carried by a network of 23 stations.

      1932
      Canadian Radio Broadcasting Act was passed. It helped form the Canadian Radio Broadcasting Commission.

      1933
      May : First daily national broadcasting.

      December : First Northern Messenger broadcasts.

      April 12 : The Moose River Disaster.

      November 2 : Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) was established. It took over CRBC facilities.
